WOW !!! How can anyone look at the above lists and not be impressed.
The list I now present to you may not be so expensive or extensive, but has nurtured
my love of music and nourished my needs for artistic expression.
1. Comb and Toilet paper Kazoo
2. Arthur Godfrey Uke (Plastic body, but
genuine cotton woven strings)
3. Little Abner Drum Set (Super model with
genuine cardboard drum head).
4. Heifitz model Plastic Strad. This came
with official Heifitz autograph (a
prized keepsake).
5. Lawrence Welk 12 note Accordian (it
only played Polkas).
6. "Soupy Sales" Jews Harp (the 8 reed
model in 100 % Tin). Brought tears to
my Rabbis eyes.
7. Plastic Slide Flute with metal
slide.
8. Very large assortment of plastic and
metal Whistles, hand painted with
pictures of Donald Duck, Goofy and
most importantly Little Orphan Annie.
You can't imagine how much Ovaltine I
had to drink to save up enough Box
tops to purchase these items.
Now I do own a Ketron SD1+, but it
can't hold a candle to the sounds that
come from a double thick Dove toilet
tissue stretched over a 6" plastic
Ace brand comb.
I consider myself blessed to have
owned all of the above;
Bruce
