I just received a new product from Behringer which is very exciting. It is a 180Watt RMS compact 5 XLR Mic Input powered mixer. It features 5 Channels with either XLR or 1/4" Inputs plus a stereo tape input and output channel and 100 24 bit Effects and a 7 band graphic equalizer with feedback locate light system. The size is approx. 10 Inches wide by 8 inches deep and 2 rack spaces tall. It has optional rack ears and is housed in a rugged molded plastic case. There are 2 1/4" speaker jacks for either one speaker (8 OHM) or 2 speakers (4 OHM) or 1 speakon connector. The power is really amazing for this small size because unlike the PMH1000, 3000 and 5000 which have a digital poweramp, the PMH518M is using an analog power amp which sounds much louder. The amazing thing is that this amp sells for $149.00 and if you couple this with a couple of B212 Behringer speakers at $149.00 each, you have an amazing system, easy to carry around and for a package price of around $450.00.
