If you are anywhere in the US, I agree. I think my local store has had the 2100 at 1099 ( or maybe even less ), and 2000s new can probably be found in the high 800's, used maybe in the 700 - 800 range.. give or take.
I didn't like the key feel on my 2000, but that is a personal preference. Other than that, I've never seen any board that comes close to the 2k / 2100 series in giving good value for the dollar. I miss the 2k for a lot of reasons, and if it had a more desirable key feel or I could have used a midi controller with less of a hassle, I'd still have it. Instead, I 'll probably spend the "big" Tyros bucks and give up the internal speakers.
