when I received my shipment of NP-30's there was an additional brown box with 12 PA-5 power adapters. These are the "included" adapters. The keyboard does not come with an adapter but the US distributor decided to include one at the same $299 MAP price. The PA-5 is the more powerful adapter. Yamaha also makes a PA-3 which will work but can cause "brown outs" (distortion) is you use it. You don't need to tear the box apart, you will never find it there! (should have bought it from my store.....you would have received an adapter!)
