Squeak,
Yamaha has a bad habit of hiding the power adapter in the shipping materials. Be sure you turn over every piece of styrofoam and look behind them. Turn the box and packing materials inside out. There have been several times I was certain the adapter wasn't there, and then I found it. Just a thought.
