Hello dear friends,

A few weeks ago I lost both of my parents within 8 days of each other. I visited my Mom at my parents home on Mothers Day. I went to check on her the next day and found her in my Dad's chair. She looked so peaceful. The following Tuesday my Dad passed away while recovering from major surgery in a physical rehab facility...........

They both shared a wonderful life together and I am so lucky to have had them near for so long. Both loved playing music. Mom had a Casio electric piano and Dad loved his PSR SX900. It's easy to see where my musical talents came from!

Since they passed I haven't been able to play my Genos2. As soon as I start the tears come. I have always used my music to take the hard edge off of life. It's not doing it this time............

This one's gonna be tough!!!! -charley

So sorry for your loss Charley. What you've been through is quite a shock. When the time is right, your music will come back. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!

Hi Charley,

My sincere condolences to you at this sad and difficult time. To lose one loved one is bad enough, but to lose two within days is unbearable.

It’s going to take quite a time, but try and take comfort from the fact your Mum and Dad gave you your love of music, and one day the music will flow once again with many happy memories.

Take care,

Kind regards,

Russ

Hi Charley,

I am so sorry to hear about your dear Mom and Dad. They are in heaven, but they have given you the gift of music that will stay with you forever. Time is the greatest healer.

Consider yourself to be extremely lucky to have been born in a loving musical family. All the happy memories will help you get past this moment. You will discover a new state of peace through your music. Please share your recordings with us.

Best regards,

David

My deepest condolences Charlie. πŸ’

As you say, you've been lucky to have them with you for so long time, so use all the happy memories that make you smile and laugh when you sit down to play or feels the sadness too heavy.
I'm sure you know what favorite tunes both they and you would prefer to play and what would put a big smile on your and your parents face.

All the best.
