I am running Tyros 4 currently through Yamaha Stagepas 300's and am seriously considering buying the Bose L1 Compact system (2 off) as an upgrade to the Stagepas.

Is anyone out there using L1 Compacts? I would be interested in your comments if you are...

Lovin the new website.

Yamaha has had problems summing to mono in the past, according to some users. I remember tweaking the grand piano sound a little on my prs3000 to make it sound better in the Bose - all I can say is .... it's an amazing system for clarity, portability and coverage. you HAVE to try it.

The L1 Compact works great for me, and the vast majority of those who have switched to this fantastic system. DonM used a pair of them and both he and his audiences love the sound. Hammer uses a pair of them as well and loves the sound. I use a single, and would never go back to conventional speakers.

The beauty of Bose is you have a 45-day, no-questions-asked return policy for a full refund. If you like what you hear, keep em'. If you don't like what you hear, send them back. It's that easy.

I use a single Bose Compact for most jobs and it's outstanding. I have another one I bring in on big jobs. For the times I only need one, my son uses the other one for his DJ business. I couldn't be happier with them.

You'll love a Compact. It will do the job. However, you will be totally ecstatic hearing your Tyros 4 in stereo with two of them.
It's worth the money. Trust me. I'm old and afraid to lie.

Leigh, If you play the Tyros 4’s stereo samples (like the concert grand), you'll definitely need "two" Bose units. Mixing Yamaha stereo sampled voices to mono causes phase (effects) cancellation and results in a very thin unsatisfactory result. That said, Korg and Roland samples don't seem to suffer from mixing to mono like Yamaha's stereo sampled voices do. That said, I really like the sound of the Bose, and recommend you get two compacts, not one. cool

I'm a day late here with my comment. You'll love the compact, I have one unit only and I agree with what's been said re: the concert grand.
