After nearly 15 years of almost daily service, I have my first problem with one of my MS-60's.

It was moved by carpet installers early in the week, and now, the internal amplifiers don't work. Switch is in the right position, and the instrument works fine through the PA, just don't have the 22 watt amp and internal speakers.

Don't know if the amp was just "tired" or there was damage from the move.

I've got a second one with far less mileage and have contacted my repair guy. Actually, since I have a hot spot monitor running off the pa, other than missing the stereo, the problem is manageable even if not repaired.

Even if it were to "die", man has it paid for itself. I have used it outside in the heat and, sometimes, rain. Drunks have spilled all kinds of things in it, and even knocked it off the stand a time or two.

This means I'll probably replace it this week with the SD-5 I got from Jim (Zuki).

But, if possible, I'll repair it and leave it at the house job, where it has been in semi-retirement (week-ends-5 to 8:00 PM) for almost three years.

What a TANK!
