There have been numerous posts asking what songs should be played for a particular audience, and most of the time the answers from forum members have been pretty much right on the money. However, there's now an easier way to determine what songs to perform.

IMO, most folks, especially those who wish to dance, usually go for songs that were at the top of the charts when they were between the ages of 15 and 30, songs they either fell in love to, or fell out of love to. Therefore, if you know the average age of your audience, you can go to a site that Eddie (Btweengigs) Shoemaker emailed to me this afternoon.

"Billboard has been charting since 1940. Its interesting to see how the number one songs have evolved over the years and see the artists that made them famous."

Have fun,
