My sincere concern for the safety of our Florida members and their friends and neighbors who might be in the path of this devastating storm. Good luck and let us know if you're affected. I/we may be in a position to help.

What I heard about the storm, I too, got worried about our SZ members who live in Florida. Hope you are safe, and please report back to us

Just talked with a friend in Big Pine Key and they had some higher than normal tides, but still only a few inches on the ground there - no worse than a heavy thundershower.

From what I saw on Gloom and Doom TV, must of the flooding took place in low lying areas of the southern panhandle, but winds were not as bad as most previous storms during the past few years.

Good luck, my southern friends,

Gary cool

I live just North of Ft Myers, and after getting racked by Ian, am thankful to report no damage this time around.

Glad to see you dodged the bullet, Bernie.

Talked with Eddie (Btweengigs) and he also said the storm didn't cause him any damage as well in Stuart, FL.

Florida’s pretty big. 1350 miles of coastline! The worst consequences of hurricanes still tend to affect a minority of us who live here. Micheal virtually wiped whole communities off the map just to the east of Panama City. Meanwhile 50-60 miles to the west, it was almost a non-event.

We thank everyone who shows concern for us as these hit us, but it’s localized a lot more than it is for the states with short coastlines.
