In the process of selling lots of equipment, I came across a Motion sound top rotor box. I contacted Motion Sound and ordered a belt that had dry-rotted.

The belt arrived three weeks later. Calls to the company were not answered.

I replaced the belt and listed the unit. The buyer reported that the slow speed did not work.

Efforts to contact Motion Sound have been futile.

They are still selling good products, but customer service is almost non-existent.

FYI.

I used one of those rotor tops for years (with an old Korg CX-3). Great product, but eventually the main bearing failed. Long out of warranty…

Did you buy it through a dealer? Perhaps they have a working number they actually pick up on? I know Sweetwater sell them.

Bought it from Carl's Music-Lexington. Out of business.

They have a fellow manning a site which deals with repairs, but there are lots of inquires, with very few satisfactory answers.

Meanwhile, I still have a 147 RV I break out when I turn on my Lonnie Mack persona (I wish).

LOVE to play guitar through Leslie with reverb....preferably, a tube Leslie.

Of course the time for that was HOUSE JOBS. A 70 plus dude has no business moving those things for an all-nighter. That's why the top box was great.

They sell a new one, but I will NEVER buy from them, considering my recent contact.

OH WELL!

You might try taking a look at the Ventilator… it gets pretty high remarks for a non-VSTi Leslie sim. Tube pre into that, it might be a 70 year old’s prayer answered!
