Hello,

I have an EM-30 and it doesn't function correctly. I think it's the operating system. Could you send me a copy of your operating system?. If you have an EM-50 it will be valid too. Please, do the dump by midi because i don't have a floppy drive.

Thank you very much.

Hello urmas,

Many thanks for your answer, but the operating system there is valid only in the floppy. The one i need has to be done by midi because i don't have a floppy drive. The file is a midi file whith the dump of the operating system.

many thanks.

JM,
Maybe the floppy will play thru your PC into the keyboard and re-up itself. Roland furishes their updates in SMF form for some products. Try it!

Uncle Dave,

The files that are used to update the system by floppy are not the same files that you use to update the system by midi. The files are
Em50_100.sys and Europe.cs0 and when i try to load this files in cakewalk to send them to the keyboard cakewalk don't recognize the files. I don't know if it's possible to convert this kind of files to midi to send them to the keyboard. (sorry if you can't understand me very well. I'm spanish.)

Many thanks.

Hi, guys!
Please, does anyone here still have EM-50 firmware? My aunt (75 years old) has decided to reactive her (very) old keyboard but it keeps asking for the Operating System. It does not start. It seems it lost the firmware or it´s corrupted somehow. Roland does not have it. I contacted them. I could not find it anywhere else. It seems you're all my last chance.

Thanks a lot for this opportunity!

Wow 15 years later!
I don't have the firmware, but the keep-alive battery on your aunt's keyboard might be to blame.

You could also ask on this forum:

Good luck!

Hi, TedS!
Thanks a lot for your reply! I thought the firware was recorded in a kind of EPROM. Good to know there's a battery inside. I hope ecceccecc (1 post above mine)still has it. He also lives in Brazil. I will also try the site you pointed me out. :oD

Thank you!
