As stated in the other thread this seems to me the way to go for you Donny. (....with or without the SX900 as a masterboard...)
Looking forward to your views once you have visited AJ !!!

John

Truth be know I am very happy playing the Roland EA7 for many reasons..
even though it sometimes slips under the radar is is an excellent arranger that can do many things for the pro gigging musician.
The SD90 for now is just a curiosity.

Nothing like the launchpad feature if you have the need for it.

In 1984 I was using my guitar, with a mdi connection, to my Yamaha keyboard. I was making a transition for guitar player to keyboard player. I did not have keyboard chops, so my guitar controlled the keyboard. Guitar was set to the same midi channel as the left hand. Vocal, guitar, and keyboard – full sound.

Set-back: My guitar could not solo, it would affect the chord message. Sense then guitar and midi have come a long way

The SD90 looks like a dream, great sound, but I want one instrument, one piece, no midi controllers, an instrument that is complete in its self. One peace is enough for me to think about.

Opinion, John C.

I'm of the same opinion. I looked into several modules. They all are very good with excellent sounds and capabilities, but I think that making changes on the fly will be difficult. I like to sit at my arranger keyboard and just play and move buttons and sliders at will while maintaining continuity of playing a tune. I could be totally wrong, but it seems to me that may be a bit more difficult on a module.
