Bachus thanx for sharing ....I haven't warmed up to Roli as of yet just to robotic sounding to me especially the sax.
Also playing Glissando Sax (as shown here) seems weird to me.
There is just something about the sound that doesn't register realism for me,.....I feel Roli is better suited for Synth sounds.
So many options out there.

Why does he need two keyboards? Doesn't the Genos have a decent Sax sound?
For 5 Grand they should.

Because the roli is not a keyboard at all, its a controller that offers much more then a keyboard does, it kinda feels like an organic mold on the touch. Where a normal keyboard measures touch velocity and aftertouch and some release velocity. The Roli also measures X axis and Y axis movement. Its much more suited for playing all kind of natural acoustic instruments then the traditional keyboard..

And it is the Genos sax sounds you hear.. just controlled by this exceptional comtroller.

Keep in mind, that playing the Roli feels a lot different from playing a keyboard.
The only thing similar is the placement of the notes..

I have seen a few videos of his and really liked them.
He certainly has a good understanding of the Roli and makes good use of it.
I tried it a few times and can't get my head around it.
As we have discussed before: it is almost like learning a new instrument.
But it certainly has a lot of advantages over a regular Keyboard.

Thanks for the info, didn't know that as I never heard of a Roli. Looks like a new way to add the expressiveness we keyboaerd players lack conpared to guitars. Maybe that and if someone would come out with a TOP module would be a great setup.
