Over the last few months I have been fairly absent here due to several reasons not in the least a bunch of chronic health issues. This has also forced me to resign to the fact that my (abundant) making music days are over. That is not to say I won’t be making anymore music , but it has become quite a chore to keep up this fantastic hobby. ( headaches,
tinnitus, shoulder impingment, etc).

I still have and will hang on to my new Korg PA1000 , more of which in another thread.

I have also compiled a survey of the home CDs that I have made over the years for the benefit of friends and family. All of these recordings were made within the confines of my bed/music room really. Below you will find links to the better ones , covering a period of fifteen years. Each song can be listened to and/or downloaded individually.

The first two albums were recorded with the Korg PA80 and a minor contributions of the old Roland E70 acoustic piano sound. The 2012 and 2015 albums were recorded with basically the Korg PA800 and some additional acoustic guitar strumming on the latter. And finally the 2017 album was basically recorded with the sole use of the ancient Yamaha P80 stage piano and several female vocalists. I hope you will come across some diddies that you may enjoy listening to.

It goes without saying that having been a member here since 2000 I will continue to read the forum contributions from time to time but I guess with a different perspective. On top of all this it is my view that the discussions on arranger keyboards seem to have washed up in a kind of dead end street really, I hope to add a thread about that as well.

Below a link to my home recordings. Wishing you all well,

John Smies

John, I find that sometimes getting into a song and getting "lost" in the music will take one's mind off certain ailments. Keep on making this great music my friend, as long as you can!
