For those performers who sing, how do you get your lyrics for your songs?

Just curious.

Just be aware that lyrics and especially chords online both varygreatly in accuracy. Also with lyrics even the lyrics printed in sleeve notes can differ a little from the recorded version. The other thing is that some short words like I or In May be almost subliminal, in that the word is almost inaudible and sounds more like an inflection rather than an actual word.

Nevertheless the various lyrics and chord sites out there do take away a lot of the pain.

All the answers are on the recordings! No short cuts can replace listening!

Tx all.

Often times I will only do the first verse and chorus...that most familiar to the audience. I fill in with melodies.
