Why feel bad . You got the better unit at a lower price. I don't like anything with batteries so unless you want to do some street busking it just adds to the cost.

Actually, I feel great! I got a deal and a free cover that includes castors. The batteries are one feature. 6 hours of use on a charge. But it can also be plugged into power.

The pro is not in my price range anyway. It will be good for someone else. The fact that they listened to their customers and turned around an additional product in a short time makes me feel good!!

The xlr thru is nice when adding an additional system. But at $1499 each, that's a system with 8" speakers for subs... $3000?!? No thanks! But it would come in handy when patching into another system at the venue!!

Hope JBL is listening and upgrade the original. XLR pass Thur is a must but better yet a stereo link. And I believe Donny suggested,a lower priced slave unit without the mixer.
They need to rework the preamp section too. But it does, sound amazing for its size.

37.5lbs vs 41lbs...don't see any advantage there.

The Pro seems to be more like a portable entertainment center.

two of these units could make a nice small stereo PA for smaller gigs, but personally I need my mixer on deck with me where I can make changes during a performance.....not on the speakers where farther away ...

For me, the Eon One has been just an outstanding PA system. It's been able to take the place of our two Bose Compacts, which I sold to a friend.

And, I like the way the Eon One mixer is laid out. I don't like as much the way the Eon One Pro mixer is laid out.

I've never had any input issues with the Eon One as others have stated.

Now I could get interested in an Eon One that is 3/4 the size and weight of the present Eon One, provided it sounded as good.
