The weather is fine here; in fact I can’t remember the weather ever being much better.
Gary, boat or no boat you gotta get down here in the warm sun.

I agree, John - I need warm weather and sunshine more often in my life. It will cure what ails ya. wink

In the process of replacing my roof which was damaged in the storm. Ins. Co. has authorized 21k and change but my roofer's estimate is higher but claims Ins Co will cover with supplemental claim when work is completed. Bummer, as roof is only 8-9 yrs old, but the current 75mph shingles will be replaced with 150mph shingles. Damage was not that extensive but replacement was approved (rather than repair) mainly because the current shingles are discontinued and couldn't be matched. No other damage to the property though, so I guess I got off lucky. My motorhome (in storage facility) was also not damaged although it was parked between two large boats that were mildly damaged. Tremendous damage in other parts of the county and in the Atlanta area in general. Hope everyone else got through this okay. Gary scoffs at 'climate change' smile but damn, SOMEthing is going on.

chas

BTW Tony, thanks for asking.

Climate has been changing steadily for millions of years and will continue to do so!
It's strange but we seem to have a storm every Easter. Tornado hit our home and neighborhood two Easters in a row, and this one nearly missed us.
I'm glad to hear the damage wasn't worse Chas! Our damage on the one tornado was close to $80,000, and we were one of the luckier ones.

Nothing here, for a change, wink though the weather lady predicted 2 inches of rain and high winds for last night - it never happened. Yesterday, it was only 59 degrees, windy and damp, while today, the temperature is already up to 74, which is much closer to my comfort zone and age. smile

Glad you dodged the big bullet, Chas. We installed the 150 MPH roofing shingles when I saw the 75 MPH shingles standing at attention one day with a 50 MPH wind. That was nearly 20 years ago, so I guess they must work, because they're all still in place.

Stay safe,

Gary cool
