I found a PSR740 on ebay yesterday for buy it now price of 215 with shipping included but waited until this morning to get it and its GONE!! Would have been nice to have as a backup, especially at that price.

I think it's good you missed it! That's just a little too old. There are more recent models that turn up that are wonderful values. A PSR 2000 or 2100 would be far better and can probably be found in that price range.

I think this one may have caught his attention, Don, because he already has a 740, so it could have made a nice back-up that doesn't have a learning curve for him, but I agree with you. Boards that old on eBay are usually there because they are no longer fully functional, if at all.

You are both right. I got a little excited because I was looking at it as a cheap backup, A 2000 would be a much better board obviously.

A 2000 on ebay is asking 1100 though. I think I'd rather spend 1900 and get a new model with the gaurentees and all. Will hold off a little longer on replacing my 740 which is still working fine.

Earl, I will give you a much better deal on a PSR-3000, which is a real workhorse of a keyboard with a huge number of great features.

Not in a big hurrry to move up but a deal is a deal and yes a 3000 would be a lot more than the 740!
