For the same price as a Bose compact, it sure has many extra features from connectivity to FX and improved mids. If I was in the market, I would strongly consider it.

Great idea and great concept for single and duo acts... even small bands! Seems like it would work well in the restaurant gig... Where there is no stage and they stick you in the corner. Bose compact... LD Systems Maui 5... JBL EON One all have a sub built into the system. I do like bottom end and not sure how the 6.5" speakers will work for bottom end... They say the go down to 50 hz... But how far does it throw?!?

30 lbs... 126db... 720w peak... Looks like it could handle a bunch of different gigs.

I would love to hear one but no one in our area carries it! We live in a "order & try" world. Front the money and return it if it is not what we want. ~sigh~

I read four reviews from specialist magazines, they are all positive. One estimates it can handle up to 120 persons.

One review is free, but in German, maybe you can read parts of it using an automatic translator (the other reviews are free to customers registered with thomann.de)

Thanks guys! I also wonder how the 6.5 bottom will sound. My local dealer will get them in the store after summer. I will try them out then. I will let you know what I think. Now I'm using 2X HK Nano 600, works good for me, but always fun to look into some new stuff smile Not sure my wife says the same sofa

Me too, gotta have bottom. See my post on Finally Saw Arranger Player. Its all about the bass. And all these systems are really aimed at the guitar / singers so we're just trying to adapt to them. Even the EOP ONE which has a 10" sub. Called JBL and they even admitted its for the guitar guys. I have 10" PA speakers in my preactice room and they couldn't do enough bass on their own for a gig.

Just got back from a visit to a new music store here. They had both the Reach and Bose Compact next to each other near the front door. The Reach is smaller than I expected and has some heft to it. They had it sitting on a table. Neither was hooked up but the store owner said the Reach is much louder and has more bass than the Compact. For what we do he said you would almost definatly need a sub with it unless your doing soft backround music. So the Reach sitting on a behrinnger 1200D 12" sub might be a kickin little setup.

Haven't heard it, but my sales guys don't have much good to say about it. Sounds like a great concept for acoustic guitarist/singers, but not sure it will handle the full range of my solo act. It's interesting, though.
