" I don't think I'm good enough and there's very few places to play it. Now that I'm older I wish I had spent more time learning the craft and especially wish there were guys like Tony Monaco who offer lessons on how to do it. Could of advanced me years ahead. Can never forget I was a fan of the late pianist James Williams, went to Boston many times to hear him. One night my wife and I were roaming around in Greenwich Village and we wandered into a place called the "Cookery" . OMG there was James playing to a room with about 6 or 7 people ( that included the bartender and 2 wait staff. We sat next to him and watched the magic while we listened. When he took a brak he came and talked with us for about 15 minutes. Long live JAZZ!!!

I "wimped out"...wasn't willing to do without for my art and didn't think i was good enough. Sadly, I'll never know if I was.
