Much of this stuff is because the 4x does things differently than the 3x. There were quite a number of changes to the OS. Yes some things were left off; but some of them have been put back on the 3 updates already made.
The style fills now work more similar to Yamaha, but they work very well, much smoother than before. You can still use any fill and go to any style part. In fact there are even dedicated fill buttons, if you don't want to use the autofill mode.
I feel this guy was nitpicking. Maybe he doesn't understand the new method or maybe he's found something that is important to him to work the way it used to work.
My 4x has been flawless for my needs!
BTW, Yamaha is having a large number of problems with S970 regarding buttons on the right side of the keyboard not working properly. Yamaha is repairing or replacing but only if you bug them about it.
None of these keyboards are perfect, especially in the early months after release.

Well....I guess if I never knew about it, I certainly can't be missing it...

That said, don't buy the PA 4X....I want to be the only person in the world with one.....

When I think about it...it tees me off....
PSR S970 $1999. Has lots of good things, sounds, styles etc.... but in many folks opinion a poor quality keybed and buttons, and a screen that doesn't adj so you can see it if your not 6' tall.....so because Yamaha divisions have there no compete rules you have to spend $5000 to get a quality keybed (of course lots of other great features too).

Where is a MOTL PSR or Mini Tyros at around $3000 that has the Tyroas keybed (including aftertouch) , a few more T5 features/sounds/styles and a tilt display?? I would order one right now! We have to fork out $5k plus or be satisfied with the 970. The Korg TOTL is $1800 less! Which brings the gap of PA900 to PA4 much less.

$3000 is a heck of a lot of spread in a keyboard line.

Lee - what annoys me most is the $1000.00 MoX series has a keybed that is far better than the PSR line... if the PSR had the MOX Keybed it would be such a better instrument overall..

So its not like they need to implement the FSX Tyros / Motif Keybed at all.. (would be amazing) but the already existing MOX Keybed would do just fine.
