Have followed this girl for 3 years and watched here grow and grow. She sings, plays trumpet and sax too. The video is an hour long of their live performance at a Jazz Festival in Europe. The Bass player has a school and often has big bands of just very young kids that play their socks off. Lots of stuff on Youtube for anyone interested.

Deane, thank you, thank you, thank you. If I were to choose and had the opportunity to do it all over again I would play this kind of music.

There are Jazz Musicians that play notes and scales; these musicians are playing music. My wife commented that I was sitting on my chair with headphones and a big smile on my face. It brought back many memories.

Thanks one more time Deane, John C.

John,
Three years ago I got to see her live on one of our Europe trips. We planned one of our stops just to take in one of her concerts. We were not disappointed.

Great find Deane, love it.

Ah! it's like breathing pure oxygen.

I'll check out more of her stuff.

Frank.

That's real music. Have followed that group and its pure joy to listen to those wonderful arrangements of the old standards.

Very nice.
And guess what, no arranger in a mile radius. And that is why it's good.

She, and other youngsters are why I'm not worried about the future of good music and the expansion of ideas, chords, techniques, etc.

Wow Deanne, this really blew me away. Now this is the kind of jazz I love. You can still hear the melody. The bossa novas have always been my favorite music to play for myself. When I had wedding bands bossas would always be a big part of the cocktail set. I always played them in clubs as well. When I went to the NH circuit,I had to leave them behind. Most of the audiences I play for wouldn't get them. And I am first and foremost an entertainer. These guys are fabulous.
