Before I took the vow of poverty to become a musician again, I worked for a major corporation in production then in R&D(research and development).
Pay/benefits were excellent and the new products that we developed, that were needed by business, and individuals, we charged a pretty penny for.
So I understand the cost(to a certain extent) of new technology.
The new stuff that HK is putting out; Nano 300, I can appreciate, and I hear a lot of call for Nano 600. But once it get's it's pay off on the market...A Nano 300 twice the cost of a JBL 515?
The other one is Bose L1/Compact. As good as it is, it's not new technology anymore. Been around for close to 10 years and yet...priciest stuff on the market...R&D not paid for yet?
Yamaha DXR, DSR seems closest to the best bang for the buck. Wish they weren't so dang heavy.
Thoughts?
