Graham there are only three things that can really breath and moan in music. One is the human voice. Example listen to Somewhere Over The Rainbow by Ray Charles. The others are instruments, Tenor and Alto Sax. Example listen to the second tune I posted above, Smoke Gets In Your Eyes by David Sanborn Alto Sax. Too many examples in Tenor, but here's one.
