No....I didn't buy a BK9 ..yet.. smile

I make a point not to book Fat Tuesday and St Patty's....So what did I do...I booked both this year.. cry

I especially do not like to do March 17th..but I can just get away with a half dozen songs...I hope..

I need advice (suggestions) for song selection...Cajun stuff that I can learn in 2 weeks or so..or else I will be playing extended versions of When the saints go marching in... grin

Maybe I will take my accordion shocked

Guys that always play this stuf..Diki (Is he still around?) DonM, Boo..anyone..

Fran, here's what usually works for me when it comes to theme parties like St Patty's and Mardi Gra, or Hawaiian or whatever. I make sure I have at least 6 or 7 good solid tunes in the genre. Then I find all the styles that fit and use as many as I can. Do a lot of the theme songs early. Once you have the crowd, then you can pretty much do what you want. Good luck!

Fran, almost forgot St Paddy's Day.

When Irish Eyes are Smiling
Sidewalks of New York
Irish Luliaby
Galaway Bay
Whiskey In The Jar
Danny Boy
The Foggy Dew
My Wild Irish Rose
Irish Washerwoman

and the one I love to do best is Irish Stew. Line dancers love it.

Cass, you really know how to hurt a freezing, old man. It will take till the end of March before the ice melts in the marina here.
