That's a lot of white hair in that audience! God, when are arranger demonstrators going to start to target people under 60?!
With its synced loop capability, and slider controlled synth voices, the BK-9 is one of the most forward looking arrangers out there. And how do they try to sell it? Hoary Hammond demos to retirees...
Mind you, for the serious rock and R&B organist, the BK-9 is one hell of a good Hammond clone. The Vib/Cho is nailed (with types from the 50's, 60's and 70's) and there are several types of amp simulators to get the perfect amount of grind and grunge, the leakage is good, the percussion is beefy, with lots of control over levels and recharge, you have variable on click and off click, and you even get a slider control of volume that is either pre-amp or post-amp. All in all, it's a HUGE improvement over the HB section of the G70, and fixes and massively improves every niggle from back then.
If you are into Hammond, no matter what age (!), I think you owe it to yourself to try one. Just don't play it without a swell pedal..!
