Good one, Larry...you are fortunate to be able to see him live.

He is an awesome player, but also a real showman.

His last arranger was a Tyros, of what number, I'm not sure, but he sure does a great job on both arranger and piano.

Thanks for the videos,

Ian

Curious:

What's the 'minimum' age (55,60,65?) to qualify to compete in senior idol contests?

What's the 'maximum' age to qualify to compete in a standard american/pop idol contest?

I used to work with Tommy in the late '80's and early '90's. Great guy and excellent player. Interestingly enough, by his own admission, he can't read music and plays everything in the key of C.

Contestant eligibility
The eligible age-range for contestants is currently 15–28 years old. The initial age limit was 16–24 in the first three seasons, but the upper limit was raised to 28 in season 4, and the lower limit was reduced to 15 in season 10.[21] The contestants must be legal U.S. residents, and must not hold any current recording or talent representation contract by the semifinal stage[22] (in previous years by the audition stage.

looks like 65 and over....

One more of TJ:

Technics Digital Piano and a T-2

Yes it's an older video, but I for one, never tire of them.

Larry,

Thanks for the video. I heard where Tommy won the senior competition but hadn't seen the videos. He plays at a local restaurant on Friday evenings and I've had the pleasure of listening to him many times. Most recently, last Friday night.

BTW, I'll be at DOAKS...hope to meet you there

Bill
