After waiting what seemed to be an eternity for the pen drive to update the Audya, it finally arrived yesterday.

Make no mistake folks this is the real deal. The other guys are on notice it's going to take a huge leap to better this.

I like many knocked the Ketron base for the lack of client support, and don't get me wrong there is still plenty of work to do, but this board is still in its developement stages with lots of great things to come if the pen drive is anything to go by.

If you want kick a#ss drums bass and realistic professional styles with professionial edge, you should try the Audya, dont buy it on my say so, play it, demo it, if you can go back to another board after it, it wont be easy, i have got a t3, so i know, and you will see!

Thanks for your post/thoughts

So you will say your Audya rocks the socks off of your T3?

What I will say is this:

If all Yamaha T3 owners were to try out/ gig the Audya
1 night.
More than 50% would switch

If all Audya owners were to do same with YamahaT3,
I doubt anyone would switch, Ok maybe. 1%.

Not a believer? Try and see...I did

Yeah man, gotta agree.. I am extremely excited. This keyboard totally rocks.

It gives me inspiration to record and my Church is going to totally be excited.

I'm a T2 owner and I would have to agree. i went to see Don M at his gig, and he was kind of enough to let me sit it. The Audya is freakin' awsome. I want one bad now. I don't how I'd ever get the dough to buy one though

I have to constanly remind myself that it's the player not the keyboard- keep practicing!

montunoman,

Do you know how many that would be. 1000s, Franks only got one in stock, back to plan "B" lets just all keep this, the best kept secret. Don't think so Tone! The words out on the street, and the factory is on holiday, come on Italy they might get a CUP for this, all fun apart it is bloody good KB know, there is now a hell of a good reason to buy. Leezone heeeeeeeeeer, you going down the Frank's this weekend, no red Audya, just a red carpet for you!

I'll get more in, if you want to try the Audya 5, it's the same as the module just with keys, I was told more will be here in a couple of weeks.

Yes I think the updated sounds and styles are a great improvement, but they are still missing modern top 40 dance styles

I’m not sure I agree at all. The Audya is the best sounding arranger keyboard, no doubt about it, but the Yamaha keybords have got the worlds best operating systems, and quite seriously I find the one in Audya ridiculously bad.

Being a former Yamaha Tyros 2 player, the transition to Audya has been nothing short of a nightmare. An example is the registration system – what would require ten different buttons presses on the Audya can be programmed to only ONE button press on a Yamaha keybord! How am I supposed to press 10 different buttons in the same time while playing?

My point is, it does not help much with great sounds if it’s not possible to operate the machine properly. Add to this the general unstableness of the entire board, its still full of errors.

But hey, maybe I just belong to that 1% who is inclined to throw the damn thing in the dumpster and go buy a Tyros 3 instead. It may not sound nearly as good but at least the s… works.

I think you must be missing some things in the Audya OS. I find the registration system works very well, and easier than the Tyros.
I still think Yamaha has some superior lead voices, and a great OTS but the gap is narrowing.
