I heard that the Tyros4 is going to be a new plug-in app on the new Motorola DROID X phone, and will connect through a USB port to any slave keyboard. Will cost only $199 with a 10 year service contract with Verizon Wireless. Touch screen, of course.

It wouldn't surprise me if there is a future Ipad like device with an app that has all the touchpad buttons for an arranger keyboard + is configured with a softsynth.

From the controller keyboard to the tablet device's usb input and from the audio outs of the tablet device into your speakers.

Just wait, it's going to happen.
