Found a used, very clean Pa800 at Sam Ash at a good price. Put my Pa500 on Craigslist on Sat. and sold it the same day. As a matter of fact, I could have sold 4 of them. The response was amazing.
The 500 was my 'training wheels' in the Korg OS, which really takes some time to learn, being quite different from my PSR s910, which compliments the Pa nicely. 2 different boards, 2 different approaches...double the fun.

Good find. The nice thing about findng a bargin in a store is that if the board turns out not to be kosher, you've got some recourse. And I agree with you, the two boards do compliment each other very well (I have a T2 and PA1x). How do you use them together? For instance, I usually use the drums (unedited) from the PA1x and almost always guitars from the Tyros 2. Certainly between the two, there should be something for everybody .

I haven't tried MIDI-ing them together yet. That's the next step. Undoubtedly, the drums on the Pa are in your face live. How cool would that be to use the drums from the Pa on the 910...I think I'll need a tutorial for that.

Great find Tim. I know you'll have fun with the new board.

Super stuff, Tim.

I have yet to try a recent Korg arranger...not one dealer in my region carries them.

Congratulations on a great find.

Nice find Tim. I have a PA1x still and I've decided that it's going to stay with me and will be alongside the T3. I've tried to imagine life without the Korg but I can't, it's really that good!

Have fun.

I play my Psr s900 styles with the Pa500. You only have to midi out the Yamaha's drums and perc to the Pa's midi in Drum and perc channel. Ocassionally you'll have to mute or change the drum kit of the Korg to match the style. Basically the Korg's Standard Gm kit matches many of the Yamaha's styles, otherwise you could create a special Drum kit for this purpose. Overall I think the Korg sounds better however the guitars, trumpets and saxes from Yamaha are the best.
Check this video where I use the Yamaha's style adding the Korg's drums: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hdtw_4bSUD8

PS Hey, just listen to the style, there are many mistakes in the video. I usually sit and record whitout rehearsal.

"A song from Rod Stewart. The style is from the Psr s900 improved by the Korg drums. The guitar from the Pa500 and the sax from the Psr"

Actually it's a CCR (Creedence Clearwater Revival) song.
