Hi:

I have a friend that has an SD1(actually, he owns 2), and one has a BIG problem, it freezes, and I am trying to load the 4.0C OS, and as soon it begins to load a few files, stops and reads; " PROGRAM ON FLASH # IS CORRUPTED, the number of flash program varies, sometimes is 12, others 6, and so on.
With no possibility to load the OS, the keyboards does NOT booth on.
What happen to this keyboards was after the AJ's upgraded(before the PLUS), it came back and was never the same, glitch after glitch....and now is not even possible to load a FRESH OS and a total NEW reload on all those 12 floppies.
That keyboard was sent already to Ted, and got back in not much better shape.
The irony was, that, that SD1 was in MINT condition and still is in the outside.
Is there a way to get it back to Factory settings, and how to load the OS if it reads that flash program # is corrupted?

I ran out of ideas...Any ideas anyone????
From Phoenix AZ, my friend Dennis Murphy and I appreciate your input in this matter.

Thanks in advance.

If FLASH is bad, it means one/two of the Intel Flash chips on the CPU board is/are bad. With the unit discontinued, you might need a new CPU board.

mdorantes,

open up your sd1 yourself
reset all cables, take out and put right back
especially the one for floppy disk
reload the OS

i had a similar issue on my XD3 module, and this totally fixed it

not saying it will work, but it's worth a try
