Matter of fact, I recently came to understand that I'll be given the task of handling not one but two B-3's at the point in time my Father passes away. This (hopefully) isn't going to happen anytime soon, but we are probably looking at a few years...

What is the going market for beautiful condition B-3's these days?

Suggestions on the best way to liquidate these would be appreciated?

Scroll down to What is my Hammond worth? Not sure this dealer would give you what you could really sell it for?

Bill I did notice after posting that there is a $5.95 fee to use the service

I'd be interested as investments. Hopefully, not soon.Have the truck and dollies to move them.

Bill:
Those B3s are sought after Jazz, R&B, Rock players, the B3 must be with with a Leslie either 122 or 147 models, that's what makes a B3 a B3.
Several friends of mine buy them and sell them, and the value depends on the "cosmetic" shape, no scratches, matching leslie, and of course, working conditions.
There are "cut-down" B3s, and those are lower in value.
You can see them sell, as I said, depending on condition from $2,400.00 - $8-9,000.00 or perhaps more if it has not one, but 2 leslies included.
By the way, a leslie alone (122 or 147 model) sells for over $1,000.00 and/or more upon condition.

Bill, I'd send a truck to Pennsylvania with the right covers and dollies to safely and securely transport a "cherry" B-3 or two. I have a 147, a 147 RV and a 122. The 122 is being rebuilt and refinished right now, a I wouldn't require matching Leslies. Leslies were not made by Hammond so none really matched, except for the same finishes anyway.
