This is a question for the G70 owners (or others who might KNOW, not guess what I am talking about)...

What do you know about the SR G-01 card? It says it comes with OS 2, but I thought OS 2 was available as a seperate free download?

Out here dealers are asking $500+ for this expansion card, which is okay if its worth it??

Any advice/ideas/suggestions.....

Dennis that is an expansion card designed for the G70..You do not have to purchase that card to update to 2.0 or even newer OS 3.0..

The expansion board has additional samples...$500 is over priced ..you can get expansion boards for half that price (USA)..

OS 3.0 is free of charge...

So when do you get your G70?..

Tough to tell about whether it is a good price of not.. Those AUS prices all seem scary to us Yanks!

To be honest, the most popular SRX board at the Roland-arranger.com site seems to be the SRX-07 board. Adds in some great basses, some more keyboards, synths, organs, a whole grab bag of good stuff. A bit better bang for the buck (or Ozzybuck!) than SR-G01, from what most say.

I have no SRX installed yet - I'm saving it for the day I finally get bored with the ROM sounds! It will be cheaper than having to go out and buy a new arranger!

Thanks Diki, yes I have heard some of the demos of the SRX boards and I don't think I have heard a bad one yet...
