I have done some research on the net today but not sure if what i read / my conclusions are correct :

My findings are it's [erfectly legal to record my own mp3s of my own playing on my keyboard and publish on my website provide they are 1)songs of my own composition or 2)they are public domain

Also any song published before 1922 is in the public domain , is this correct ?so WW1 songs would be fine?

Most well known songs after 1922 are likely to be copyright protected

Cheers

Tony

Just a little something to research further...

Seems like I remember reading somewhere that foreign countries may have different public domain laws. So a song may be in the public domain in the U.S. but not in another country.

Could be an issue given the internet is worldwide. Just something to check

(Obviously, I'm not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV... although I can ... do... a... decent....Shatner)
