Proud to report the DUAL MP3 board works like a charm....used it at a gig Saturday mixing up styles/smf/mp3 songs without a hitch from the front Thumb drive very impressive. Searching for songs while playing others is a cinch......saving them all in the songbook just scroll >select>play WONDERFUL!!!!

I tough that most important in the arranger keyboards was the STYLES, STYLES, STYLES... and now finally there have discover to use the DUAL MP3 player...this is a old feature that mediastation have from 4 years at the NAMM show 2003: http://www.lionstracs.com/demo/video/spotnamm.WMV

Anyway, good that finally Korg can offer this "new" features that other big brands still don't have it.
How is the audio quality when you transpose and change Bpm? Is acceptable?

Now the next big brand step is make working the VST Plugins and the DUAL VIDEO players: http://www.lionstracs.com/demo/video/2007/2videoMS.wmv

How many years now you have to waiting for see this?

Anyway..Compliments KORG!
cheers

Does the Korg MP3 board support playback of ALL types of MP3 files:

1) MP3 Encoder Types: Lame & Fraehoffer
2) Bitrate 'Types': Constant, Average & Variable bit rate
3) Compression Rates: including 192, 224, 256, and 320kbps
4) Channel Types: Stereo, Joint Stereo, Mono

If I were to create & utilize the best acceptable MP3 files for live performance playback, I's highly recommend utilizing the LAME Encoder with 'variable bit rate' & 'joint stereo' settings, and encoding at 192kbps or better (preferably 320kbps).

Checkout the Hydrogen Audio website for discussion & the latest on audio compression. Here's Hydorgen Audio's sub-forum dedicated to MP3 compression. Well worth a read:
