Do have a disk in the drive?

Your 2k may be loading the first song off the disk and that file may be corrupted.

Try removing the disk and turning it on.

No floppy in the drive. I took it apart last night, checking for obvious things. Still the same error. Looks like it's getting sent to Yamaha. Thanks for the reply.

Hi Rick
Save all your settings if you can, then reinitialize the keyboard to as new settings. (IE. as if you had just bought it new)
Hope this helps

Bill

How can I reset the keyboard back to the factory setting if I can't power it up? The error message is the first thing that appears. Is there a key sequence I can use before hitting the power button?
Thanks for the help and response.

Rick, I think you will find that Bill's suggestion will work.
Initialization will reset the operating system..Unfortunately, you are going to lose your settings, since you can not save them in your keyboards condition.

Thanks for the helpful tip. I'll try this when I get home tonight. I had backed up most of my settings. I should be in ggoed shape if I can get this working again.
Thanks Again.

The reset solved the problem. It didn't clear any of my custom registrations or custom sounds in the user folders but it did reset the keyboard setting like you said it would. This is great. Now I don't have to borrow a keyboard for my gig Thursday.
Thanks again to the people in this forum..Your the best.
