I stopped at a music store about an hour from home and inquired about prices for the Tyros 2 and PSR3000 both for my reference and for my students that are wanting some keyboards.

The answer I got after quite a wait was the PSR3000 is no longer made. Then they gave me a not very good price on the T2 and I boogied.

I am not certain if they called Yamaha or another dealer.

Anyone else hear any news on this one?

Scott

Scott,

The PSR-3000 is still very much in production.

Its replacement isn't due till 2007.

Sounds kinda weird to me.

Hi Ian

Just what I thought. I think what really happened here was, they called another dealer and just came up with some kind of cock and bull story.

They don't sound like reputable people.

Probably want to move you up to a Tyros2 and make a lot more profit.

Nasty.

Ya, a bunch of dimwits actually. This is the same place where they thought I was stealing styles off their PA80 a few years ago. Do you believe it? Especially considering all of those styles were always available for download from Korg.
