It does sound good Donny. I'd been removed from Yamaha arrangers for about 3 years up until yesterday. I have to admit there are some things I missed for sure. The multipads are one of them. I can find many different ways to use them.

With the rumors floating around of a possible 76 key version, I kinda wanted to wait to see the 3k's successor, but I'm also kinda glad I didn't wait that long. I can't think much past today, never mind several more months. I'll surely give it a look when it arrives though.

I hear ya AJ....even though the 3k came out almost two years ago it still is on par with today's top KB's sound wise....aside from few features omitted in the 3k that Tyros has which I dont use anyway & in no way is a hindrance to my performing.....the 3k is still one of the best bang for the buck KB's ever made to date.....& down the road if the successor to the 3k tickles my fancy I can just go pick one up no problem & try it out....but for now earning is no problem with the 3k....
The Yamaha Multipads are a super powerful addition to playing styles & beyond especially that you can record your Own too & then add them to your performance four at a time!

Enjoy your new T2...cant wait to hear some of your tunes also!!

To answer your question I would have to say no.....But there are some G70 work-around ideas to achieve a similar effect on the same order as Multipads if your creative.

Are you sure that boards? and not broads?

Nice to hear some postive talk about the 3000.It's a great board that has got lost in the shuffle with the release of the T2 I have been using one the past year and half the board has served me very well. But listening to all the hype about other boards and brands I'm getting anxious, but I still probably wait to see what the 3000 replacment has to offer.
