I just noticed this amp online.

Though I'm very impressed with the weight, size, and its one cabinet stereo feature, 30 watts per speaker alone won't provide adequate coverage for anything but the very smallest room, and two 6-1/2" speakers alone attempting to serve both as a woofer & produce mid range audio I don't believe could offer sufficient bass for an acceptably satisfying full range (including bass warmth & fullness) keyboard sound. I'll of course be interested in hearing feedback from others here that have an opportunity to audition the AC-60, and perhaps change my mind. - Scott

excellent to use if you sing/play ac guitar,clearity and efx is decent,say good hifi sound with nice mid range.portable,wellthought mixer for ac guitar players.

unfortunately a little underpowered if you use KBs.

Uncle Dave used to use this amp on very small ACOUSTIC guitar gigs.....thats what its made for, Not Keyboard playing.....hence the name AC60.

You will find posts of others like myself you have used the Motion Sound KP-100s. A 100 watt stereo keyboard amp. I have found that it was too underpowered for even small rooms. I can't imagine that this amp will be adequate for anything beyond practicing.

There was some discussion on another thread regarding "look/sound alike" products from several companies. When I first saw this pic it reminded me of a stereo guitar amp that GK made in I believe 87-90(looks a bit like it). I worked in a band with the gtr. player that used to be able to set it up on a mic stand(bottom connector). That amp was like 100 watts and also had a decent jazz chorus effect. - -----------------

The Roland AC 60 was designed to be used with an acoustic guitar. If used with a keyboard, although it sounds pleasant, will distort easily.
Most have used it on stage as a monitor for their ACUSTIC guitars.

I took one out from GC, worked well with my guitar.

It has a sub out and Roland says it can handle small PA duties. Wattage specs are not absolutes and not a measure of efficiency or sound levels produced. Therefore one companies 100 (2 x 50) watts may produce a lower sound level than another companies 60 watts (2 x 30). If your keyboard has built in speakers already and you want to fortify it somewhat to play at "acoustic" volume levels with nice tone, say the range of an upright piano for mellow wedding ceremonies, this little stereo amp may do the trick. Guitar Center stocks these in their acoustic guitar rooms and I will be trying one in tandem with a digital piano with built in speakers.
