I have a friend with a Korg i30..
He wants me to take a look at a style that he is having a problem with..

I am talking over the phone with him and can not follow what he is doing ..I need him to save the user style to a floppy that he can email it yo me...

Can one of you Korg guys explain the procedure to me...that I can direct him over the phone...Thanks Fran

I believe all he has to do is from his board either hook up usb and drag to the desk top or copy it from the board to a floppy and email....

Lou , I suggested he load the style in question into arranger mode, and then copy/save the user style to floppy..Open the A drive on his computer..select the style ..right click ..send ..to recipient and send...But he is having problems every step of the way...If I can get a detailed description of the procedure...I will email it to him...

BTW, Lou i don't believe the 130 has USB...it may have a PC serial port..

Hi,

no usb or serial ports, this product is quite old.

You can download the manual at
\\Korgsrv\Archivio\Pa80 Website\pacom2004\pa_root\en\extra\korgstory_i30.html
and then search for Disk -> Save selecting
as target the Fd. It seems not so difficult, the disk interface is similar to that of Triton, Pa1X and the like.

Cheers.

Hello,
While we're on the i30 topic ... I have an i30 that I don't use very much because I never figured out how to use the installed hard drive. I'm so used to the i40M hard drive with it's convenient partitions that the i30 single slot, 1 gig HD is foreign to me. The manual is not very helpful regarding the HD. Can any one help me to access and utilize the HD or refer me to a source of related info? My only reference is the Musitronics HD with it's partitions that hold about 7,000 files.
Thanks.
Ciao,
Jerry
