Hi, we have a small Peavey Escort 2000 PA system which we attach a md recorder to when recording. The problem we have is when we put the recordings into the computer, even with the volume set at maximum when we burn to disc we have to have the stereo players volume to max to hear the recordings. other than change the mode of recording has anyone any suggestions.

I suspect that you are not connected to the Peavey's line out, and if this is the case, you will not get the correct volum. Though I'm not sure about the Escort, you may also have a Tape Out, which serves the same purpose as a standard Line Out. It usually has a pair of RCA jacks and an independant volume control.

Just a guess,

Gary

I made many good recordings from the RCA outs on the Escort. As long as the signals going IN to the Escort are high enough, you should have no problems.
Many PC recording programs have a facility allowing you to Maximize the levels of the recorded signal. Using this will bring the Cd volume up.
