Wow! That is a great deal Al.

I paid twice that for a 512Mb Lexar Jump Drive a little over a year ago.

One thing you have to realize though is that not every Flash Drive, Thumb Drive, etc. will work on the PSR 3000. The Motif ES's either. If the Thumb Drive/Flash Drive requires a 'Hub' driver to operate, it won't work on either one of them.

Since Kaser doesn't list a CD-ROM - (used for installing a Driver) as part of the package, I would think it wouldn't require any Hub driver. If that is the case, then it should work fine on the PSR 3000 or Motif Es'es.

Best regards,
Mike

Not me.....

I would probably go for it if I actually owned a PSR 3000 or Motif ES currently.

Especially at such a good price and having twice the capacity my Lexar Jump Drive has.

Btw, I'm hanging on to my Lexar Drive just in case I get the Tyros II which undoubtedly will have not only Smart Media capability - (I was hoping for SD [Secure Digital] Card capability because of greater capacities especially if the Tyros II can't use an internal Hard Drive, but it's unlikely Yamaha will incorporate SD technology into it). But the Tyros II will undoubtedly incorporate the use of external Storage Devices such as Thumb Drives, Micro Drives, external Hard Drives, etc., also.

512 Mb's is still a pretty good chunk of real estate IMO. And it worked flawlessly in my Motif ES7 when I had it.

Best regards,
Mike

Geez, that baby looks like a cell phone. Do you think it could stay in the USB jack for hours without falling out?

That's been my worry. I'm also worried about someone walking past my keyboard and catching their pocket on the bugger and ripping out my USB port!!!! :-(

What is the YAMAHA OFFICIAL Storage LIMIT for a USB Jump Drive that will work in the PSR3000?

A little OT here, but has anyone found a way to use USB with the floppy drive keyboards (like psr2000). I vaguely remember some talk of a disk adapter ???
