What song professionally recorded do you wish you had never heard?

Two come to mind at the moment,
Tiptoe through the tulips (Tiny Tim)
Can't you smell that smell (Lynard Skynard)

These two cover different areas,
Tasteless performance and tasteless material
imo.

So, the question is not the worst recording but what song do I wish I'd never heard?

Funny Face by Donna Fargo. Hurl.

The other is Brown Eyed Girl. Which for many years was a favorite song of mine. Cool song. Then came the 90s. For the past ten years or so, every friggin' band in the universe plays that song every night they play. Somebody tell me it's required under penalty of death. Else, I ain't playin' it. Sorry, Miss America, even for you, I don't do that one.

Oh, wait... for SURE... Play That Funky Music White Boy or whatever the name of that STOOPID song is. Godomighty. I have to leave the bar when that sucker comes on. I betcha black bands don't even play that song for black audiences. It's got some kind of groove in it that makes white men think they can dance.

Well the question was worst recording, not song, and for me the all-time worst recording is Elvis Presley's "Blue Christmas" with those wailing background singers. Nothiing wrong with the song or Elvis, but the backing singers should be shot along with the record producer.

HAS to be the recording of Oh Holy Night that we have passed around the past few years. If anybody wants it, let me know. If you can listen to the entire song without breaking up in laughter, I'll buy your dinner.

Bill Cosby's recording of "a Little Old Man"...his one hit in the early 70's. A terrible recording, but funny as hell.

Bob Dilan's Grammy performance from last year. I was embarrased beyond belief.
Add Madonna (TRYing to do) Evita. Major Yuk.

I have a recording of Bing Crosby singing "Hey Jude". It is awful. I believe the CD also has Joel Gray singing "White Room".

Hard question.....It should be asked with the stipulation of what decade it was recorded?....
I dont think its fair to compare older tunes with todays modern studio technology as they progressed thru the years from Mono to Stereo to digital etc. do you agree?

All of Rod Stewart's latest recordings of those wonderful, old standards. I never thought he could sing before he had the surgery, and though he managed to dodge the big "C" bullet so far, I believe his voice is worse than ever.

"I'm the Guy Who Found the Lost Chrod" by Jimmy Durante.
"The Lost chord. I found the lost chord.
Jeerabee, Jeerabee, Jeerabee.. Yaw, Yaw, Yaw."
Why does that stick in my head.
