Hello, fellow arranger keyboardists.

I have long been lamenting the difficulty of switching voices, etc. on my G1000 during performances.

Today I received the e-mail from AMS, listing the Behringer foot controller on special.

It occured to me that this may be the answer to my voice-changing woes - as it appears that I can preset several program changes per button, and have a set of my favorite sounds callable with a single pedal press.

Hence is my question - have any of you used this or similar MIDI pedalboard for program changes? How well does it work? Do you know if other keyboard brands (e.g. Korg, Ketron, Yamaha) use similar technique (CC + PC) to effect voice changes - just in case I decide to trade my G1000 for something newer eventually?

Thank you,

Alex

I think all modern keyboards use control changes (controllers 0 and 32; usually known as Bank Select) followed by program changes to select voices.
