Here is a link that will be of use to ANY PSR 2000/2100/9000/Pro or Tyros user. It is the Vocal Harmony settings Michel Voncken uses personally with his PSR's and Tyros Keyboards. I tried his settings and without a doubt there was a signifcant improvement in tonal quality not only of the lead voice but also in the quality and depth of the Harmony voice[s]. Here is the link: http://www.vonckenfan.de/html/downloads.html

Thanks Mike. I haven't tried it yet but it looks promising. It was cleverer-er just to post the image here...

Yes, I could have done this:

But I wanted the members to get the added benefit of the other goodies on Michel's site. If you notice, and can read German, that there is a Registration and related files especially for PSR 9000/Pro owners that can be downloaded into your Keyboard so when you turn the Keyboard ON the Mic setting is a snap to engage and enable making a hassle free setup. Plus there is also a Forum where some of the posts are also in English. And there are other goodies too.

Best regards,
Mike

Very interesting and worth experimenting with. In the settings shown I notice that the balance setting is straight up. I have found that to be way too much harmony taking away from the lead vocal. Most all my settings are in the 23-39 range...just a touch...and seldom used throughout an entire song.

Another tip - using XGworks with my updates (they're somewhere on Synthzone but only Nigel knows where) you can use all 5 DSPs with all the effects on the mic channel. I can make some amazing noises on my 740 - you can probably make even more amazing noises on the 2000 or 9000.
