I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger on this puppy. For $300 and free shipping, I don't think I can beat it. I plan to use it as a monitor in the studio at first then buy another later if I start doing live gigs. For the price and (I own a real cool dolly with inflatable wheels to haul this heavy sucker)and I can certainly not pay anymore at this time, these are hard to beat..

Dj,
IMO if you're looking for studio monitors, you could choose either the Truths or M Audio BX 5's or 8's and get much better results for monitoring or mixing for the same money.

If you're looking for a loudspeaker/PA system for live play the B300 might be good for that though.

Hi Terry,
Although I would like some better mixing monitors. I'm planning on getting one b300 I hear it's good for monitoring and later add another so I can have a PA system....
With the economy the way it's going, remember I spent 6 years in La as a DJ and may have to fall on that for extra bucks and a PA would not hurt..
Thanks,

DJ

DJ, the B300 is very good value for keyboard amplification and a pair would make a great PA or stereo keyboard monitor. A friend of mine got one recently for using for keyboards with a small combo and is very happy with it.

Yes, for sure get nearfield monitors for the studio environment. But they won't work for a live situation. It is pretty much impossible to find speakers that suit both because the requirements are so different. You pretty much need to decide which is the highest priority studio mixing or live amplification and base the decision on that.

I really can't imagine trying to mix a studio mix with a powered 15" cabinet, but then I also can't imagine trying to use a 10" nearfield monitor for live stage use. It's apples and oranges ....

No, I'm not planning on using it for recording monitor. I'm using it first to give some punch during live performance... Then as I get some DJ gigs I'll add another b300 and us it for the that...

Thanks,
DJ
