When changing keys during a real time recording I'm finding the board resets the key back to the original key. Is this a bug or ???

Id be happy to confirm this for you if you could be a bit more specific. Are you recording to the TYROS sequencer? Are changing keys using the transpose feature? Let me know.

Thank you for showing interest in my post. I'm doing a simple real time recording and was using the transpose buttons. It sounds like the key change takes place while I'm recording but during the play back the key is restored to the original key. If this explanation is still confusing please let me know and I'll call you and let you hear it in real time. Thanks again for your help.

Try using the song transpose instead of the master transpose in the FUNCTION/CONTROLLER settings. NOTE: You can't hear the effect while you're recording, but it comes out transposed on playback. Also remember, you're recording (and transposing) keystroke, not sound so transposing down is actually transposing up. You'll see what I mean when you try it.
