I just installed a new hard drive in my Tyros and thought I'd share my source with anyone interested. It is a Fujitsu 3.25GB UDMA/33 4000RPM 2.5 NBB HDD - 9.5MM. While not a huge drive it seems to be working great and will fill my needs. Now the BEST PART, the cost brand new was $37.00 (thirty seven dollars). It came from computer geeks www.computergeeks.com. Shipping cost to Arizona was $5.00 bringing the total cost to $42.00. Not to shabby considering what I paid for my last hard drive.

Have fun!

Such an expense!!! It's easy to see why Yamaha does not supply a hard drive standard with the Tyros. Think how much more expensive that would be!

Considering they have taken a huge drop in the last couple of months, they are good deals now, but just before I got my Tyros they were 2x's the price. I paid $95.00 for a 30 gig and two weeks before that it was about $180.00. I can see why they did not include it when it was coming off the line.
