Hey,
In most all my cuts, I do all or at least part of my percussion stuff live realtime, playing parts in manually.

I have been using a Yamaha DD 55 for the past year and has served me well, but thought it time to move up.

I bought a Roland Hpd 15 HandSonic and it is excellent! Tons of patches for drumes from the different world genres....Latin, Asian, African, Indian etc....it's also capable of recording and looping as well as it has different genre loops on it. It' quite pricey as most all good gear is, but so far seems to almost be worth every dollar ....

BTW, if anyone wants the DD55 which is a great piece of gear too.....mine's for sale cheap, E me or something and we'll arm wrestle over a price if you're interested.

They both are great for adding that bit of a flare and difference to your tracks.
jam on,
Terry

I'm so jealous!!!!!!!! I played with one at the store and it was big fun. There was NO WAY that I could justify bringing that one home but I sure thought about it! Have fun Terry, and let us know when you use it on one of your recordings.

Bill, it is a great piece of gear. I finished one cut using it already and will let you know when I have some pieces up on my site with it.
